28th July 2005 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: 25 knots Surf / Sea State: choppy Air Temperature: 17ºC Sea Temperature: 17ºC Weather: Mainly sunny Max Speed: 29.6 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 18.7 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) I got to the beach around 2pm to find AndyW out with a 5m and his new wave board and someone else out on a 4.5m. The sun was shining, the sea was blue and the wind a nice steady 25 knots. I was sson on the water and blasting around with my 5m and my little wave board. Perfectly powered up and habing a great time. As the tide dropped a little the chop lessened and some speed runs were in order, although I didn't go for any real fast runs right by the sandbanks in the flattest water as it was difficult to tell exactly where the sandbanks were. I did go for a few duck gybes though and actually made the first attempt... Nice. :) The wind then dropped considerably and although it threatened to come back didn't so it was home time for us. |
